About the Project

During the projects, participants will create a Human Digital Twin for each individual user, modeling both personal and business context by capturing and processing a plethora of contextual information about the user in a data privacy preserving manner, and enabling the entire SAP eco-system to create user-centric experiences via a cloud platform service.

The “Augmented Access Control” project by TUMO Labs and the world’s largest enterprise software company consists of 2 challenges, to which you may as an individual or in a team.

SAP Cloud Identity & Access Governance access control solution allows SAP’s customers to manage access authorizations across the enterprise with greater ease while at the same time helping to protect systems from misuse and financial loss. The Augmented Access Control project aims to bring the latest industry trends and innovations to SAP’s access control solutions to future proof our business. The purpose of this challenge is to analyze and report on such industry trends and innovations to help shape the project’s vision and future direction.

Expected outcome:

  • Report of competitor solution analysis and latest roadmap innovations.
  • Summary findings of related academic papers, industry trend analyst reports (such as Gartner) and/or other relevant literature.
  • Summary of latest trends and innovations, including impact, prioritization, and recommendations for project future directions.

Students must submit a 200-word motivational letter or 90-second video in ENGLISH stating why they choose a certain challenge and why they are interested in an SAP Project. If students are applying as a group the video or letter can be submitted as one for each group.
With the rise of AI, access control processes could benefit from intelligence and automatization. This work considers introducing functionality that recommends the necessary authorization to the user. A knowledge-graph approach can make use of the various types of information available about the user and is thus a good way to leverage HR information for an access right recommendation system.

Expected outcome:

  • Mini survey on knowledge graphs.
  • Recommendation system techniques based on knowledge graphs.
  • Comparison between various knowledge graph implementations.
  • Industry usage.
