Incubation Program

TUMO Labs is running a 12-week Technology Incubation Program with a focus on EdTech, GreenTech and HealthTech. Turn your brilliant ideas into reality and begin your entrepreneurial journey with our ideathon program, followed by a startup competition. 

18 teams will be selected to participate and receive training and support to validate their ideas and turn them into viable startup opportunities.

Up to 6 finalists will receive a 2,000 Euro prize and participate in a pitching competition.

Up to 3 winning teams will receive a 20,000 Euro seed investment as well as incubation, fundraising and mentorship support. Each winner gets 20,000 Euros, but there is no guarantee that there will be 3 winners. There may be 1, 2 or 3, depending on the quality of the teams.

TUMO Labs will actively assist the winning teams to find early adopters of their solution over the course of 3-6 months following the initial 12-week period.

Learn the fundamental skills you need to kickstart your business, validate your initial proposal, test your team, find new members and turn your idea into a winning pitch. TUMO Labs will provide all-round support from designing your business model to finding the ideal acceleration program and source of investment.

Who can apply?

You must be 18 and above to apply for this program.
You must be dedicated to spending 10-15 hours per week for 12 weeks.
You can be the idea generator or someone looking to join a team.
You can apply as an individual or a team – If you apply as an individual we will help you to find your team at an initial ideathon event.
You or one person on your team must be a resident and citizen of Armenia.

What is the program capacity?

Ideathon Event (48 hours): Up to 60 people distilled into 18 teams
12 week initial Incubation Program: The top 6 teams will receive 2,000 Euros and incubation support.
At the end of the initial incubation program, up to 3 winners will receive a 20,000 Euro seed investment and ongoing support.

Application Process:

1.  Submit your application

 a. CV/Resume: You can apply independently or as a team. If you are applying as a team you should mention it in the application and submit all member’s CVs.

b. Idea description: If you have an idea, write a paragraph describing it. We will help you validate and fine tune it.

  or

  Candidate description: If you are applying to be part of a team, you should describe in one paragraph your added value and skills to potential a team.

c. Motivational letter: Submit your motivational letter describing why you think this idea is unique, or why someone should team up with you.

d. Interview: If you are shortlisted. You will be invited to an interview. If you are applying as a team, all members of your team should be available during the interview.

2.  Ideathon Event: If you are shortlisted from the interview stage, you will be invited to a 2 day Ideathon event. The purpose of this event is to rapidly test your idea, team working skills, and motivation. During the 48 hour event you will have access to a limited number of coaches and workshops to help you frame your idea. The maximum capacity for this event is 18 Teams (up to 60 individuals).

Applicants must complete this application in its entirety to be considered for acceptance as a participant in the TUMO Labs’ Incubation programme operated by TUMO Labs. All eligible applicants will be interviewed by the TUMO Labs’ staff or a designated coach and given an opportunity to showcase their skills and ideas during the Ideathon Event.

ELIGIBILITY 

At least one member of the team must be an Armenian citizen. 

You must be 18 and above. 

All current and past TUMO Labs’ students are welcome to participate.

Participants will only be admitted to the 12 week programme if they pass through the Ideathon event.  

Your idea must fit one of the following categories: EdTech, GreenTech, HealthTech

REQUIREMENTS

Students will be required to participate in all the events designed to increase their chances for success. 

This includes meeting at least weekly with their business consultant/coach and attending entrepreneurial speaker events and training workshops.

The team must dedicate 10-15 hours per week.
