DemTech Sprint
DemTech Sprint
About the Project
TUMO Labs is running a 5-week DemTech software sprint in partnership with the Czech Embassy of Armenia. Participants will work with experts in human rights, democracy, technology, UI/UX, and more, to create tech solutions centered around and in the promotion of democratic practices and principles.
Interested individuals can apply by themselves or as groups, and will later be placed in teams. The sprint will start with multiple teams and narrow down to 10 that will participate in the final demo day.
During the first week of the program, participants will be introduced to the program as well as to TUMO Labs. This will be followed by the sprint, where students will partake in weeks of discussions, Q&As, and workshops, and then start developing and implementing their ideas. Throughout the process, mentors and judges will determine which 10 teams will make it to the final demo day.
The sprint will come to a close with a demo day, where a hand-selected jury of expert judges will determine the top three finalists.
The group that wins 1st place will receive a prize of 600,000 AMD. 2nd place winners will receive 400,000 AMD and 3rd place winners will receive a prize of 250,000 AMD.
Participants can expect to commit a minimum of 20 hours a week.
