About the Project

Despite some benefits, remote work also poses various challenges, such as time zone differences, different holidays, flexible work schedules that lead to mismatched work hours, all of which can result in obstacles and setbacks in the flow and completion of collaborative work projects. Today, Digital Avatars can automatically respond to emails or questions from coworkers.

The goal of the project is to create a program that will offer an extensive and collaborative solution to these challenges. The initial validation is based on the persona of an SAP developer in a cross-functional, partially remotely-distributed team.

The “Future of Async work” project by TUMO Labs and the world’s largest enterprise software company consists of 4 challenges, to which you may as an individual or in a team.

Attention: it’s possible to apply to multiple challenges, but you must choose one for your final project.

During the challenge, participants will conduct market research and a literature review of existing approaches in the field, analyze the main competitors, and concept cases for which digital-avatars are most compelling and beneficial.

Expected outcome:

  • Market research.
  • Competitor analysis.
  • Literature review.
  • Ideas for use cases that are most compelling from an enterprise perspective.

Prerequisites:

Students or young experts in business or related fields may participate in the challenge.

During the challenge, the SAP developer tool will classify available data and identify question types that can be answered based on the information provided in order for the tool to locate the answers in the future.

Expected outcome:

  • Classification of data available from SAP developer tooling that can be used for querying.
  • Identification of question types that can be answered based on the information/data available from SAP developer tooling.
  • Potential PoC ideally including SAP tools to showcase the approach.

Prerequisites:

Students or young experts in computer science, data science, or related fields (e.g. business informatics) may participate in the challenge.

The goal is to investigate how to summarize information sources with mixed data types (i.e., text, images) based on a target characteristic or purpose.

Expected outcome:

  • Literature review of existing approaches.
  • PoC showing natural language generation of summaries from mixed data sources of information.
  • Proof of the feasibility of the approach based on adaptation of summaries to different target purposes.
